In the press

I'm hugely grateful for the coverage breathwork and nature connection gets in the press to raise awareness about the reconnection work I'm doing, sometimes in collaboration with others. Here is some of the coverage, updated as it happens. You may see The Life Adventure mentioned. This is the corporate wellbeing agency I run, which Wonderbreath and my Shinrin-yoku nature connection site Forest Bathing Made In Britain, sits within.

MIND & BODY GUIDE NOV 23

Thanks to for including me in their Mind & Body Guide published in November 2023 and available in Waitrose, M&S, WH Smith, Tesco Metro and others.

Would you like to learn more about how and why to take responsibility for your own wellbeing, but not sure where to begin? Mind & Body magazine is a great starting point. It's more of a glossy mini-guide and brings together different wellbeing modalities: Breathwork, fitness (why, where, how), reflexology, coaching, acupressure, meditation, hypnotherapy, sound therapy, infrared (saunas), open water swimming and postural alignment into one place. You'll learn the physical benefits, the mental and emotional, where to do, how to guides plus much more. And as a bonus you get 7 pages of me talking about Conscious Connected Breathwork! It's published by Key Publishing. Here's a snapshot of the Breathwork section.

Thank you so much to Conde Nast Traveller magazine this month for featuring the new one-day private retreat I'm running with renowned body psychotherapist Andrea Maria Lucas for women who feel overwhelmed. We began hosting these retreats in January and with heartfelt feedback such as 'quite profound' and 'magic work' then we know we're on the right track. Here is the piece and there's a longer article due out about this soon.

Queen of British breathwork, Justine Clement, founder of Wonderbreath, is launching Touching the Soul, a one-day solo retreat with body psychotherapist Andrea Lucas. This is a space for women who are feeling overwhelmed and provides a template for individual daily practice of between 10 minutes and half an hour. The day includes touch, movement, Breathwork and active listening. This is much more than caring pampering: the focus is intentional, aiming to alight on the root cause of discomfort and equip women with proper tools. Conscious Connected Breathwork releases energy held deeply in the tissues and can be incredible for healing and physical and mental health. Breathwork infuses the body with oxygen and energy and opens the door to a deeper relationship with self. Lucas’s restorative massages combine intuition and insight with bodywork, allowing profound shifts.

If you haven’t seen Good Luck To You, Leo Grande yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! We were blown away by Emma Thompson’s performance as a 60-year old woman who hires a sex worker to explore her sexuality - after a lifetime of unsatisfactory sex and no orgasms whatsoever. In this week’s episode we talk to the author and comedy actor Katy Brand, aka the genius behind this poignant and compelling comedy drama. All the taboos around midlife women and sex, representation and body image will be exploded!

Plus: Trish finds out how to beat stress and anxiety during an afternoon of forest bathing and a conscious connected breathing session. And we have brain fog bloopers and a nostalgia noodle too.

This summer, The Life Adventure incorporating Wonderbreath and Forest Bathing Made In Britain is launching 36-hour “radical corporate wellness retreats” for burnt-out, Zoom-fatigued teams. Taking place in rural Surrey and Hampshire, UK, the “Restore, Recharge and Reimagine” camps are designed to help build connections between people, inspire ideas and release stress, writes Jenny Southan.

If this is the future of work,I thought, sign me up!

We had Emma Jacobs, a journalist from the FT, come and experience a day of Conscious Connected Breathwork, Forest Bathing, Creative Journaling, Storytelling and Manifestation recently. She's written a fuller article on the experience which is yet to be published by the FT, but here we feature briefly in her article about whether employers are encroaching too much on the wellbeing of their staff (or not). In it, Emma writes

"Last summer, I escaped for a day to the Surrey Hills to one run by The Life Adventure. Its most popular workshops among employers were Breathwork, Forest Bathing, Journaling and Storytelling and Manifestation. My brain unfurled. If this is the future of work, I thought, sign me up."

Re-energise your team with a corporate retreat.

It has been a tough year for all, filled with ‘Zoom and gloom’ and general exhaustion. Google searches for “signs of burnout” rose by 150 per cent in 2020, and the boundaries between work and life have never been more blurred.

Thank you so much to Conde Nast Traveller magazine this month for again featuring the one-day private retreat I run with renowned body psychotherapist Andrea Maria Lucas for women who feel overwhelmed. Journalist Lydia Bell spent the day with us and had this to say..

Why activating the parasympathetic nervous system saves us

Knowing that external stress triggers will never relent, I needed to learn how to relax. I signed up for a one-day solo retreat with body psychotherapist Andrea Lucas and Justine Clement of Wonderbreath, one of Britain’s top experts in breathwork. Touching the Soul is a space for women who are feeling overwhelmed. As well as spoiling you with a restorative intuitive massage from Andrea, the aim is to teach you the basics of breathwork so you can create your own practice. I loved the phone-off day with Justine and Andrea in Andrea’s pretty garden house in Harrow-On-The-Hill, with a break for a nutritious vegetarian lunch. Conscious Connected Breathwork is hugely growing in popularity as part of the toolkit for improving one’s physical and mental health. Before I met Justine, I had joined halls full of acolytes as they gasped away, but I couldn’t connect and found the sounds distracting and anxiety-inducing. Justine’s quiet patience and repeated gentle guidance enabled me to feel safe and relaxed enough to allow the oxygen to infuse me with peace. Breathing more consciously has helped to bring me back from extreme overwhelm.
