Welcome to our Women's Health and Wellness Day!

 

This beautiful day hosted by The Women's Hormone Clinic in Brighton and 6 experts in women's health will feature educational sessions and wellness workshops to help you understand the hormone changes that occur in the perimenopause, and the impact these have on your health. The day aims to empower you with the knowledge, skills and motivation to go through the menopause transition feeling happy and healthy, while prioritizing your well-being.

 

You will leave feeling your body, mind and soul is rested and restored. Join us to connect with like-minded women and learn valuable tips to improve your health and wellness. This is a unique opportunity to spend a day learning with highly trained experts and to invest in yourself and your well-being.

Begin the day by connecting with fellow attendees in a warm and welcoming environment. This opening session includes a brief health and safety overview and a look ahead at the schedule of wellness activities to come.

Menopause

Ginny’s session will be interactive and aims to educate the group regarding: Hormone changes in Perimenopause and Menopause. The role of Oestrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone and DHEA. Symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. Pros and cons of HRT (hormone replacement therapy). Strength Training

Helen will give everyone an introduction to why strength training and impact training are of great benefit to women, especially into perimenopause and beyond, she will be leading a 30 min combined strength and HIIT class for a total body workout. This will include a warmup and cool down and exercises that will help in everyday activities. It will also show you how strength training can be accomplished without the use of weights and combined with high impact and intensity. Useful for when time is tight or when you have no equipment and need a workout. There will be alternatives to high impact/ intensity for those who need a more gentle workout. www.mdteashop.co.uk

Pelvic health

Claire is going to discuss the importance of pelvic health during the menopausal period. Musculoskeletal changes during the menopause. Why and what exercise is helpful. How to look after your pelvic health during menopause and beyond. Practical demonstration: breath, movement and the pelvic floor - it's not all about Kegels! Learn how to connect with your breath to improve pelvic floor function. Practice movements to improve your pelvic floor function. Aromatherapy
